My story
The long way
to strength.
I'm Sarah Haskell — NSCA-certified strength coach and health coach in the Bay Area. The road here wasn't a straight line, and that's exactly why I coach the way I do.

Fitness has been part of my life for as long as I can remember — I got my first gym membership at 15! But for years, I was doing almost everything wrong. I spent hours doing cardio, ate far too little protein, constantly restricted calories, and thought the answer was simply to eat less and exercise more. Instead, I found myself stuck in a cycle of restriction and binge eating, 20–30 pounds heavier, under-muscled, and deeply unhappy with my body.
Everything began to change in 2019, when a major turning point in my life pushed me to dive into self-improvement — not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually as well. Over the years that followed, I completely changed the way I thought about health and fitness. I learned how to fuel my body instead of depriving it, prioritize strength and muscle, and focus on building a healthy, sustainable lifestyle rather than chasing a number on the scale.
That journey transformed much more than my body. Today, I'm leaner, stronger, healthier, and — most importantly — I genuinely love and appreciate what my body can do.
After years as an executive leading HR and talent acquisition for venture-backed technology startups, I decided to put my corporate career on hold and pursue personal training and health coaching. I wanted to take everything I'd learned — both through my own experience and professional training — and use it to help other people feel stronger, healthier, more confident, and more in control of their health.
For me, this work is deeply mission-driven. There's nothing more rewarding than helping someone realize what they're capable of and giving them the tools to create changes that can last a lifetime.
Credentials
Trained to train you.
NSCA-CSCS
Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist — the gold standard for evidence-based strength coaching.
Precision Nutrition L1
Behavior-change nutrition coaching that builds habits around your real life, not a meal-plan template.
Former HR Executive
Years leading HR and talent acquisition for venture-backed tech startups — so I know how to coach the person, not just the program.
How I coach
Four things I won't compromise on.
Adaptation over exhaustion
We chase the minimum dose that makes you better, applied consistently. Soreness isn't the goal — progress is.
Your history is the program
Injuries, schedule, preferences, genetics. Your training is built from the specifics of you, not copied onto you.
Strength you keep
Every block is a down payment on the body you'll carry at seventy — joints, muscle, and mindset that compound.
Habit over heroics
The work that matters is the work that survives a hard week. I coach for the version of you who's busy, not the one with nothing going on.
Let's build your
version of this.
Twenty minutes, no pressure. We'll talk history, goals, and whether we're a fit.
